Staying A Safe Course

Dear Gardens Friends and Families –

I hope everyone is well and staying healthy. We continue our stringent sanitation practices throughout the community with no Covid cases to report. We are grateful to report 11 weeks Covid free. We realize that the only way we can continue the safety measures for our residents, staff and families is to practice diligent sanitation and visitation policies.

Our community has been extremely busy with daily family visits which have been organized through our activities director, Lilly. We are careful to take temperatures and hand sanitizing for each resident and visitor and we are maintaining a 6 ft distance as recommended by the CDC.

It is wonderful to see the smiling faces of our residents and families when they see each other after being apart for such a challenging time.

We are planning a summer concert series where 10 residents at a time can come out for cocktails, mocktails and music in the gardens. We plan on starting the music concerts in the next 2 weeks via a large screen pop-up theatre. Our activities department is holding exercise in the gardens every morning with 6 residents at a time and following protocol of social distancing. Our dining room has remained closed at this time which has given our maintenance team a chance to deep clean carpets and paint for new lighting and artwork. We are still delivering 3 meals a day to our residents and keeping nutrition at the forefront of the menu.

The overall feeling of the community is one of hope. Although, we have a long way to go it is very uplifting to see exercise and families again in the community. A small sense of normalcy has returned to the Gardens. We will continue to respect and practice safety, staying the course!

Please reach out to Lilly to schedule visits and Zoom meetings.

Sincerely,
