Each community we manage is a very special place, with its own unique personality. We encourage our residents to participate in the decisions that make their homes their own, by invitation and by listening sincerely to their wishes. As a company, we support the efforts of our staff to create desired activities, cultural programs, and event experiences. This means that each of our properties is uniquely different, each a reflection of its residents’ communal wishes and values.
Our staff is not subject to the “cookie cutter” structure of a large corporation. We operate each community independently and The Gardens at Park Balboa has its own defining personality and character.
As professionals, we have the opportunity to add new options and alternatives to the menu of activities and events that will bring increased meaning and purpose to the lives of our residents and to those who are involved our community.
We believe that active participation in the community is an integral part of building a happy and fulfilling life. We recognize that aging can be an amazing and rewarding journey but that, at times, it is just plain hard work. Although there are frustrating periods in this process, we attempt to bring our residents a quality of life including some fun times and – with a little bit of good fortune – even some inspiring moments. We honor and respect each resident and staff member as an individual and we strive to engage and to stimulate everyone who passes through our doors.
Sadly, Mr. Loube passed away in April of 2021, after a long illness. The company is in excellent hands with our new CEO, Adam Khalifa. Adam and his capable team strive every day to live up to the ideals of Garrett’s letter. May he rest in peace.
