The Gardens at Park Balboa would like to welcome the Fall Season as we continue to keep our residents safe and COVID free. We are still open to family visits with safety measures. All visitors must maintain 6 feet of distance, wear masks at all times and have temperature checks upon entering the community. Visits are limited to 20 minutes in our courtyard. These visits must be booked in advance prior to visiting through our activity director, Lillian Staiti, (please call her to schedule a visit with your loved one). Again, please be diligent in practicing good hygiene as well as social distancing. Stay safe and take care! We are excited to announce upcoming events to kick off fall. On Saturday October 24 th from 10am-2pm, we will be having a “social distance” art show featuring resident artwork. If you have any artwork that you would like to donate that your loved one has painted for the art show, please contact Lilian Staiti or Jonathan McFall. Please help the Gardens welcome our new Community Relations Director, Jonathan McFall, to The Gardens at Park Balboa. Jonathan comes to the Gardens with 10 years’ experience working with seniors and their families to find a new home. Jonathan’s passion for helping seniors was derived from working with seniors with dementia or Alzheimer’s from a young age. Welcome to the team, Jonathan! For our Safe Haven family members, we are updating our resident shadow boxes. Shadow boxes are a collection of sentimental photographs and/or items that have significant meaning to their life story. These shadow boxes will be displayed outside each resident’s apartment. We encourage you, if you have photos or sentimental items of your loved one you may share, to please contact Lupe Moreno, our Memory Care Coordinator. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. We are honored and here to serve you and your loved ones. To learn more about The Gardens at Park Balboa, visit our website or call 747-233-5902.
