COVID 19 Testing Update

Dear Residents, families and friends,

We are proud to inform you from our Covid-19 testing on 12/29/2020 all results are in and we have zero positive cases. Our one Resident remaining in isolation is asymptomatic and expected to have a full recovery.

I want to inform you that Teresita Villalvaso, our temporary business office manager, has returned to our sister community in Pasadena. We would like to thank Teresita for her great work and commitment she showed to The Gardens at Park Balboa’s Residents, Families and Staff. We would also like to welcome Katia Arriaga to our community as our new business office manager. Katia comes to us as an experienced business office manager working in senior living. ​

On another note, we have some more clarification on how the vaccine will be distributed to the community.

Once we have a scheduled date (which we don’t yet), the pharmacy will come for three vaccination dates. The first visit will be to administer the first dose for 50% of staff and residents who want to get vaccinated (Group 1). The second visit will be to administer the second dose to Group 1 and the first dose to the other 50% of staff and residents who want to get tested (Group 2). Finally, the third visit will be to administer the second dose to Group 2.
